Our organising team – originally known as ‘Otley Parish Church Beer Festival Sub-Committee’ decided that the beer festival should be an annual event and that a permanent team should be formed - thus ‘Otley R.A.T.S.’ (Real Ale Tasting Society) was born - look for our logo on some selected pumpclips.

Although some of the team are members of Otley Parish Church and some are CAMRA members, there is no requirement to be so – just enthusiastic beer lovers who give their time and effort to this charity event. To keep the team together between festivals, trips to breweries and real ale establishments are occasionally organised.

Otley RATS are always happy to welcome new members to this small friendly group of enthusiasts – if you are interested, please let us know.

Current R.A.T.S. Members
For the 2002 Festival, a team of organisers was formed; this team (with a few comings and goings) has been kept together as the mainstay of the festival. The team was renamed Otley R.A.T.S. and keep in touch regularly between festivals via real ale outings and visits to local breweries. The current team is listed below:
